Summary As an Estimating Project Manager at Schepers Concrete, you will be instrumental in overseeing the estimation process for our construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring accurate pricing and cost control, contributing directly to our mission of delivering exceptional service and quality to our clients. Responsibilities Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate project estimates and bids. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution plans. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve competitive bids. Implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to maximize profitability. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficiency and accuracy. Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators within the team. Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to foster collaboration. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of project management principles. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates. Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders. Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam or HeavyBid is preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
