This role involves assisting with various concrete-related tasks on commercial and residential projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, hands-on experience in construction environments, and familiarity with concrete operations and related skills. This position offers opportunities for skill development in a dynamic construction setting. Must have reliable transportation and a driver's license. Responsibilities Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create durable structures Set up and dismantle formwork for concrete pours using hand tools and power tools Install rebar and metal supports according to project specifications and blueprints Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps and mixers safely and efficiently Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to execute tasks accurately Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and supplies as needed Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety protocols at all time Experience Prior experience in concrete is preferred Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and concrete forming processes is highly desirable Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including concrete mixers and pumps Skills in masonry, metal stud framing, plastering, or carpentry are advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work on commercial or residential renovation projects is a plus This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment, and the ability to follow detailed schematics. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards at all times. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
