Position Summary The Construction Laborer supports field operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks related to curb, gutter, concrete, and site work. This position plays a critical role in maintaining jobsite productivity, safety, and quality by assisting skilled workers and following direction from supervisors. Key Responsibilities Field & Labor Support Assist with concrete placement, finishing preparation, and cleanup Perform general labor duties including digging, grading, lifting, and carrying materials Set up and remove forms, stakes, string lines, and jobsite materials Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and supplies Safety & Jobsite Conduct Follow all company safety rules and OSHA requirements Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries immediately Equipment & Tools Safely use hand tools and basic power tools as assigned Assist equipment operators as directed Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment Teamwork & Communication Take direction from Foremen and Superintendents Work cooperatively with crew members to meet daily production goals Communicate issues or material needs promptly Qualifications Required Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments Willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs as required Preferred (Not Required) Prior construction or concrete experience Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills & Abilities Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work safely and efficiently Attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime as needed Work Environment Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and construction materials Physically demanding work including standing, bending, lifting, and walking
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
