About Us MATEM Landscaping & Construction is a growing, family-owned construction company serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout North Carolina. We specialize in concrete, grading, excavation, site development, and construction services. We are looking for an experienced Concrete Estimator to join our team and help us continue delivering quality projects while supporting our growth. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates. Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions when needed. Prepare competitive bid proposals and meet bid deadlines. Work closely with project managers, owners, suppliers, and field crews. Assist with project handoff after contracts are awarded. Maintain organized estimating records and documentation. Types of Projects Structural Concrete Foundations & Footings Monolithic Slabs Sidewalks & Curbs Driveways Parking Lots Retaining Walls Concrete Repairs Excavation & Site Preparation Commercial & Residential Concrete Projects Qualifications Minimum 2 years of concrete estimating experience (preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and materials. Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines. Experience with estimating software is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Why Join MATEM?
