Objective:

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual to perform truck dispatching and concrete batching responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a problem-solving mindset to efficiently handle order taking, dispatching, and concrete batching.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatching:

Interact professionally and respectfully with company personnel and customers. Demonstrate outstanding communication skills. Maintain high levels of organization, attention to detail, and cleanliness. Multitask effectively, including handling phone calls and truck radio communications simultaneously. Accurately take and process orders. Utilize strong math and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Communicate effectively with truck drivers, customers, production, and quality control teams. Possess some knowledge of concrete and construction (preferred). Exhibit a positive attitude and follow management directions.

Concrete Batching:

Efficiently batch ready-mix concrete. Coordinate and prioritize truck loading and job orders. Use phone and radio communication while simultaneously loading trucks. Understand and apply concrete mix designs. Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and precision. Utilize strong math and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Communicate effectively with truck drivers, customers, production, and quality control teams. Exhibit a positive attitude and follow management directions.

Customer Service and Relations:

Coordinate daily scheduling between plants, dispatchers, and managers. Plan truck and driver schedules. Resolve customer disputes to ensure high-quality service delivery. Assist in gathering job pricing information for the General Manager on quotes.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year or 4-year college degree is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Person must obtain a CDL license after employment to be able to operate and drive trucks as needed. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. preferred. Knowledge of concrete mix designs preferred. Background in some part of construction or construction management is preferred. Proficient in reading, writing, and using Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication and math skills are essential. Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings and Saturdays. Team player with a positive attitude.
