Job Description
The Construction/Concrete Worker is responsible for performing tasks involving general labor at construction sites. They may operate hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, grinders, cutting tools, earth tampers, concrete mixers, small mechanical hoists, and a wide variety of other equipment and instruments. Responsibilities & Duties Ensure proper materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided Knowledge of all work and materials to be used ahead of time on jobsite Maintain a safe and productive jobsite Understand and be able to complete work at an acceptable level in three or more of the following tasks: concrete finishing, setting forms, sandblasting, patching, gunite, specialty coating application, fluid applied waterproofing, painting, and specialty finishes Perform manual work functions associated with specific jobs Maintain working relationships with crew members, other on-site companies, and customers Prepare and cleanup the jobsite on a daily basis Hours may be required outside of normal office hours Must report to work at designated location and time Daily responsibilities include prepare and grind surfaces, clean and prepare jobsites, mix materials, traffic control, demolition, demobilize work areas and operate necessary power tools as needed Qualifications Ability to use and demonstrate use of tools Demonstrated problem solving and people skills High accuracy in work, attention to detail Proven oral and written skills, required Reliability and thirst for learning Ability to travel as needed Required tools: Finishing tools, dust brush, razor knife, flat razor scraper, 5-in-1 tool, screwdrivers, hammer, wire brush, water nozzle - Company can help procure as needed Physical Demands Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
