In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet project specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality finishes on a variety of concrete structures, including floors, walls, sidewalks, and decorative features. Responsibilities Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Operate concrete mixers and pumps to ensure proper mixing and placement of concrete materials. Install rebar reinforcement according to schematics and blueprints to strengthen concrete structures. Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately. Set forms for pouring concrete, ensuring proper alignment and stability for consistent results. Apply finishing techniques including edging, curing, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired surface quality. Assist with related tasks such as masonry work, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, or restoration projects as needed. Use heavy equipment operation skills for tasks like concrete pumping or site preparation when required. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and safely. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols on construction sites. Hands-on experience with rebar installation, form setting, plastering, stucco application, and flooring or tile installation is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in diverse weather conditions. Strong understanding of concrete curing processes and finishing techniques to ensure long-lasting results.
