Full-time Position Summary Jersey Precast is seeking a dedicated full-time Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing industry. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and tracking project activities to ensure successful project delivery. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and NCRs, while supporting coordination between internal stakeholders (Production, QC, Purchasing, and Field Staff) and the external stakeholders (Customers, Sub-contractors, Design Teams, etc.). You will also be responsible for supporting production and erection activities, reviewing drawings, identifying scope changes, preparing change orders, and ensuring that all project requirements are met on a timely basis and within the budget. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate weekly progress review meetings with internal stakeholders; prepare status reports, coordinate and track progress, resolve issues, and bridge communication gaps. Collaborate with the Project Manager and Production team to develop and maintain the production schedule, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule; monitor progress, report delays, and prepare recovery plans as needed. Attend design coordination meetings with the customers and design teams, prepare meeting minutes, track action items and progress for a timely close-out. Assist the Project Manager in reviewing customer requirements, construction drawings, and specifications to identify scope and information gaps. Prepare, process, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documents to ensure timely responses and compliance. Review and check shop drawings and erection drawings for accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to industry standards. Compare construction drawings and specifications with bid/proposal document; identify scope gaps and scope changes; prepare and submit change orders for additional scope with requisite backup. Support financial review and negotiations. Coordinate with specialty design and drafting teams to ensure shop drawings are completed ahead of time to align with the production schedule. Support production activities as required to maintain workflow and resolve technical issues. Maintain organized logs of all shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all production-stage changes are accurately captured and reflected in the final as-built drawings for submission to the customer. Prepare material submittals, coordinate approvals and liaison among stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and processing of the materials conforming to the project requirements. Provide assistance to the Project Manager as necessary for successful project delivery. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, CIM or Construction Management. Minimum 3 years of experience in the precast/prestressed industry or equivalent building construction. Strong knowledge of general building construction and precast concrete design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Smart Sheet, and project management tools (Procore preferred). Experience with Titan® software is a plus. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment.Benefits Salary:
