Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cement Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly finishing concrete surfaces to ensure smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results across a variety of projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, from commercial buildings to residential renovations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and attention to detail to deliver top-quality finishes that stand the test of time. Duties Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including smoothing, troweling, and edging to achieve desired textures and levels. Operate power tools such as concrete mixers, trowels, screeds, and other hand tools efficiently and safely. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine specifications for concrete finishing tasks. Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials and equipment on-site while maintaining safety standards. Coordinate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless project progression during renovation or new construction. Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces, making adjustments or touch-ups as needed for optimal results. Assist with concrete forming, pouring, and pumping operations when necessary. Use scaffolding, heavy equipment operation skills, and roofing or stucco knowledge for specialized finishing tasks. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris following safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in concrete finishing within commercial or residential construction projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation on construction sites. (must have your own tools) Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of concrete pumping systems and concrete mixer operation is a plus. Understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, roofing work, welding, and site-specific hazards.
