- Precast Concrete Specialist - Full-Time Position

- Job Summary
- We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Precast Concrete Specialist to join our team in Elmira, NY. This position performs a wide variety of skilled physical labor tasks both independently and as part of a team to support precast concrete production and related construction activities.
- Duties & Responsibilities
- + Carry, assemble, and set Symons panels.
+ Prepare work areas for form placement by measuring, marking, and recording openings and distances. + Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. + Carry forms, clean tools, tie rebar, and operate a rebar bender. + Clean and inspect surfaces prior to pouring concrete. + Set up, pour, and finish concrete according to required tolerances and specifications. + Set and strip forms and complete flatwork finishing. + Set forms to proper line and level. + Utilize advanced woodworking skills in form construction and preparation. + Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and sketches accurately. + Bolt, nail, align, and block forms as required. + Align, straighten, plumb, and square forms to specified elevations. + Erect and disassemble shoring, braces, and temporary support structures. + Operate overhead cranes safely when required. + Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring materials and equipment are properly stored. + Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors. + Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and supervisor instructions. + Adapt to changing assignments and work conditions as needed. + Perform additional related duties as assigned.

- Education & Experience
- + Minimum age of 18 years old. + Concrete finishing experience: 2 years preferred. + High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical Requirements
- + Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.
+ Must have strength, stamina, balance, and hand-eye coordination required for construction work. + Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds. + Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per day while carrying materials weighing 40-60 pounds. + Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and maintain balance safely. + Good manual dexterity with the ability to bend, kneel, stand, and sit for extended periods as required.
