Concrete Superintendent-CIVIL Midtown, NY A nationally ranked ENR general contractor with a storied portfolio of complex, high-profile projects in New York City is seeking a seasoned Concrete Superintendent to join its Midtown Manhattan operations. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of large-scale concrete construction on signature commercial structures — reporting directly to senior project leadership and driving quality, safety, and schedule from the ground up. You will be managing large scale CIVIL projects 100M+ Core Responsibilities Direct all phases of concrete operations — foundations, structural slabs, shear walls, columns, and architectural concrete finishes Lead daily and weekly production planning; coordinate labor forces, crane picks, equipment, and material deliveries in a dense urban environment Manage field crews and specialty subcontractors to maintain rigorous productivity, quality, and safety benchmarks Enforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations; conduct toolbox talks, safety walks, and incident prevention reviews Interpret contract drawings, structural specifications, and shop drawings to ensure precise, compliant field execution Oversee forming systems, rebar placement, embedded hardware, concrete placement, and curing procedures Maintain thorough site documentation — daily field reports, manpower logs, material tracking, and inspection records Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and trade partners in OAC meetings to resolve conflicts and keep schedule on track What You Bring 7+ years in concrete construction with a minimum of 3 years in a field supervisory role on civil projects Proven track record on large-scale concrete projects; NYC experience is a strong advantage Deep working knowledge of forming systems (gang form, jump form, table form), post-tension, reinforced concrete, and finishing techniques Ability to fluently read structural drawings and specifications; OSHA 30 certification preferred Comfortable with scheduling tools and construction management software; strong written and verbal communication skills High school diploma required; degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is a plus Please send resume and project list
