Overview:
Thompson Concrete is one of the fastest-growing, employee-owned construction divisions in the Midwest and right now, we're on the hunt for a dedicated Concrete Foreman to help us reach new heights. As a Concrete Foreman at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to manage all aspects of our concrete operations during a given project.
Typical duties include:
Coordinating with Superintendents, Crew Leaders, and support staff Determining project requirements, such as material, equipment, and labor Assigning, scheduling, and reviewing tasks to Crew Leaders Creating work schedules for labor force that align with project deadlines Regularly inspecting completed work to ensure the highest quality Resolving crew issues quickly & effectively to avoid project delays Working with HR and leadership to implement disciplinary actions Consistently promoting safe work practices for all crew members to follow Operating equipment and tools (drills, saws, skid steers, telehandlers, etc.) Conducting post-project evaluations to identify "lessons learned" for the future
Requirements:
At least 2 years of construction experience (in a leadership position) Valid Driver's License or State
ID OSHA 10 & 30
Certifications (will train, if necessary) CPR & First Aid Certification (will train, if necessary)
Shift Details:
1st Shift (work hours vary, depending on project)
