Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Worker / Foreman to lead and execute concrete construction projects across various sites. This role involves overseeing the preparation, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete structures while managing a team of workers to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in concrete work, construction estimating, and site management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality infrastructure and building projects within a dynamic construction environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise concrete installation activities, including formwork, rebar placement, and finishing operations. Operate and oversee the use of power tools, hand tools, concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment to ensure precise execution. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately plan and execute projects. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other trades to meet project specifications and deadlines. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety on all job sites. Perform quality control checks on concrete work, including surface finishing, caulking, stucco application, and tile laying. Manage material estimates for concrete quantities, rebar, form materials, and other supplies necessary for each project phase. Oversee heavy lifting operations and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage or injury. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions. Train and mentor team members in proper techniques for masonry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, restoration work, and other related trades. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete work with a strong background in construction site management. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as power tools, hand tools, concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment operation. Skilled in construction estimating with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Knowledge of rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete finishing techniques, and related trades such as plastering or roofing. Familiarity with safety protocols specific to construction sites involving heavy lifting and machinery operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks like tile laying or flooring installation. Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members across diverse trades including carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (metal stud framing), welding, restoration projects, or renovation work. Valid commercial driver's license preferred for site travel; experience operating heavy equipment is essential. Certification or training in OSHA safety standards is advantageous.
