Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - •Full-Time Overview A Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of workers to complete concrete construction projects efficiently and safely. They manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that the work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and standards. This role demands a strong understanding of concrete techniques and the ability to lead and motivate a team. In addition to technical skills, a Concrete Foreman must also possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to effectively liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders. Duties Supervising and coordinating the work of concrete crews Ensuring proper setup and alignment of concrete forms Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete tasks Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards Operating and maintaining concrete equipment and tools Enforcing safety regulations and protocols on the job site Reading and interpreting blueprints and project plans Communicating project status and issues with clients and management Scheduling labor and ordering materials as needed Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the construction process Training and mentoring new crew members Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations Maintaining detailed records of labor, materials, and project progress Skills & Qualifications Bilingual Experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry Strong understanding of concrete properties and construction methods Proven ability to manage and lead a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must have a good driving record Must pass the background check, drug screen/physical Ability to operate heavy machinery and concrete-specific equipment Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks Project management experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction Valid driver's license Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary Regular Meetings A Concrete Foreman would run or attend several types of meetings. These include daily operational briefings to coordinate tasks and address any immediate issues, safety meetings to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment, and production planning meetings to discuss schedules, resource allocation, and project timelines. They would also participate in quality control meetings to review material specifications and performance standards, and client meetings to discuss project requirements and progress updates.
