We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of construction and industrial equipment used across multiple industries, including fireproofing, pool building, and concrete applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in mechanical repair, is detail-oriented, and can effectively troubleshoot equipment to ensure maximum performance and reliability. This position requires advanced technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair construction equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal functionality. Perform routine maintenance and preventative care on equipment, following safety standards and best practices. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules. Assist in equipment setup and calibration for customers, ensuring correct operation. Provide technical support and training to team members on equipment handling and troubleshooting. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Provide tools necessary for all required job functions. PDQuipment does supply minimum tools.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; certification in mechanics, automotive technology, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably within construction or industrial settings. Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience operating diagnostic tools and software. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple repair projects, and complete tasks on time. Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of environments.Skills helpful for success:
