Description Sedgwick Land & Limb is seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete & Masonry Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, developing practical trade skills, and contributing to the construction of durable, functional, and visually appealing structures. As a Concrete & Masonry Technician, your focus will be on performing high-quality concrete and masonry tasks such as mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete; setting forms; installing rebar; laying block, brick, and stone; and supporting hardscape construction. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow established construction and safety practices. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well as part of a team, and consistently contributes to building structures that are safe, long-lasting, and professionally finished. - Perform concrete work such as mixing, pouring, spreading, leveling, finishing, and curing
- Set, align, and secure forms; install rebar, mesh, and other reinforcement materials
- Lay block, brick, and stone for structural and decorative masonry projects
- Cut, shape, and prepare materials using hand tools and power equipment
- Perform patching, resurfacing, and repairing damaged concrete
- Assist with site preparation, grading, compaction, and hardscape installation
- Operate tools and equipment such as mixers, saws, compactors, and skid steers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite
- Work collaboratively with crew members and site manager
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Protect client property and maintain a respectful presence in and on property Qualifications
- Experience in concrete finishing, stamped or decorative concrete, masonry, or general construction
- Knowledge of drainage, compaction, and site prep
- Brick, block, and stone cutting and shaping skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic jobsite conditions
- Reliable transportation or a valid driver's license
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must speak English clearly for safety, teamwork, and effective job performance Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varied outdoor environments on a regular basis
- Ability to work in outdoor environments including heat, cold, rain, and uneven terrain
- Stamina and ability to perform repetitive motions such as lifting, shoveling, raking, troweling, and hammering with precision
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and performing repetitive tasks with precision
- Adequate vision, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination to perform precise concrete and masonry tasks
- Ability to work early mornings, overtime, or extended hours during peak projects Compliance & Safety
- Adherence to company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
- Participation in safety briefings and report any hazards or incidents immediately
- Maintain equipment in safe working conditions and report incidents or malfunctions
- 3-4 day workweek to provide enough downtime to recover from the physical demands of the work.
