In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw materials into durable, high-quality concrete structures. Your energy and precision will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in various aspects of concrete work and construction, contributing to impactful building projects across commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Duties Prepare work areas by setting up formwork, rebar installation, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed before pouring concrete. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other power tools to mix, pour, and finish concrete surfaces with precision. Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques such as troweling or broom finishes. Assist with the installation of rebar and steel reinforcement to strengthen concrete structures according to schematics and blueprints. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate placement of forms, rebar, and other structural elements. Perform heavy lifting tasks involving materials like concrete bags, rebar bundles, or form panels while maintaining proper safety procedures. Support various construction activities including masonry work, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, and carpentry tasks related to concrete projects. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling or placement. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly after each task. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety standards. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation. Experience with construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning. Proficiency in rebar installation, form building, and concrete finishing techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution. Ability to operate hand tools (hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and efficiently. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts or cranes is a plus. Skilled in masonry work such as stucco application or metal stud framing when required for projects. Experience in renovation or restoration projects involving concrete or masonry components. Capable of performing heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on project progress or issues.
