In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and smoothing freshly poured concrete to create durable, high-quality surfaces. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring they meet precise specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, contributing your skills to build lasting structures. Responsibilities Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to ensure structural integrity. Operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements. Prepare forms and molds for concrete placement, ensuring proper alignment and stability during pouring. Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, plastering, stucco, or flooring installation to achieve desired surface textures. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople on renovation or restoration projects to ensure seamless workflow. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools and heavy equipment operation. Proficiency in construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project execution. Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing techniques. Skilled in using hand tools like trowels, floats, hammers, saws, as well as power tools such as drills and grinders. Knowledge of masonry, metal stud framing, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and stucco application is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with schematics for equipment setup or troubleshooting is advantageous.
