Job Title:

Concrete and Asphalt Estimator Job Summary:

CASI is looking for a skilled Concrete and Asphalt Estimator to join the team. The selected candidate will prepare accurate and competitive bids for asphalt and concrete projects, including new construction, repairs, and maintenance work. This role is crucial in securing new projects and contributing to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other bid documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Conduct site visits to gather information, assess site conditions, and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and clients to develop comprehensive scopes of work.
• Research and obtain pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Maintain organized records of bids, costs, and historical project data.
• Track bid deadlines, update estimates as project details change, and participate in pre-bid meetings as needed.
• Communicate with clients, address concerns, and negotiate contracts as required.
• Support preconstruction planning and value engineering when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on asphalt and concrete projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in asphalt and concrete construction.
• Proficiency in reading plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and using estimating software (B2W)
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform job site visits.
