We are looking to add to our growing team in the capacity of Assistant Concrete Superintendent in Memphis, TN. The Assistant Concrete Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Concrete General Superintendent in any way necessary to help the project progress and to gain a better understanding of the Pollan Paving production and operations process. The following list includes qualifications/competencies for this position as well as the listing of responsibilities. Qualifications/Competencies Proven team player demonstrating ability to work with others and a willingness to help out in any way possible Humble with a desire to learn and a willingness to be coached Dependable and prompt Fast learner and hard worker Positive attitude Desire to better themselves and others around them Desire to obtain an understanding of the production and operational process of concrete construction Ability to lift at least 50 lbs General to technical understanding of concrete and concrete formwork High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Solid communication skills both written and verbal Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure Valid drivers license General ability to operate heavy equipment and small tools is a plus Responsibilities Assist the job foreman and/or general superintendent in any facet of job construction Embrace and promote a culture of safety and compliance with the Company Safety plan Pickup and run materials Call off equipment from jobs Ensure field paperwork/field data is received from vendors and transmitted to the office Assist the foreman with keeping crew time and daily reports and transmitting the information to the office Check concrete form work, rebar installation, anchor bolt layout, shoring, and concrete finish work Running small tools and equipment Contribute to the team by openly sharing ideas Win friends and influence people At Pollan Paving LLC, we are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
