- Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Concrete Cutter Demo Lead to oversee and execute demolition and concrete cutting projects on construction sites.
This leadership role involves coordinating teams, managing safety protocols, and ensuring precise execution of cutting and demo tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, extensive experience with concrete and masonry work, and proficiency with a variety of power tools and hand tools. As a key leader, you will drive project efficiency, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional results in fast-paced environments. Duties Lead, supervise, and operate concrete cutting, demolition, and related activities on active construction sites, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to plan daily tasks, review blueprints, schematics, and schematics for accurate execution. Operate heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and specialized machinery such as concrete saws, core drills, and scaffolding to perform precise cuts in concrete, masonry, stucco, or other materials. Oversee site safety protocols by conducting inspections, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring all team members wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Manage team assignments, monitor progress, troubleshoot issues promptly, and maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders. Assist with construction estimating by providing input on material needs and labor hours for demo projects. Ensure quality control by inspecting completed work for accuracy in cuts, demolition cleanup, and adherence to blueprints or schematics. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on concrete cutting or demolition projects. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction drawings. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools (such as walk behind saws, wall saws, core drills), heavy equipment operation (like skid steers or cranes), and fabrication techniques. Strong understanding of construction safety standards including OSHA regulations. Skilled in various trades including masonry, carpentry (frame carpentry), roofing, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, painting, restoration work or similar fields is advantageous. Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards; excellent communication skills are essential. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, welding experience or related disciplines is a plus but not mandatory.
