Decorative Concrete Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Decorative Concrete Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and durable concrete surfaces that enhance the aesthetic appeal of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise in decorative concrete techniques, combined with your strong construction knowledge, will help bring innovative designs to life while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes. Install rebar and metal mesh reinforcement to ensure structural integrity of decorative concrete features. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute design specifications. Mix concrete using concrete mixers, ensuring proper consistency for different decorative applications such as stamping, staining, or polishing. Apply finishing techniques including troweling, stamping, staining, caulking, and sealing to create high-quality decorative surfaces. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps and other machinery safely on construction sites. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects to ensure seamless integration of decorative elements. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on decorative concrete or related masonry trades. Mechanical knowledge related to concrete mixing, finishing tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics interpretation. Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and metal stud framing. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of designs. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project planning. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights on roofing or scaffoldings. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, welding, caulking, and demolition activities.
