Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our construction team. The candidate for this position will be an additional team member to our Field Operations and Management teams for the completion of projects.
Position Overview:
Manage all structural concrete work to include foundations, elevated formwork, walls/other formwork, flatwork, rough/fine grading, layout and controls, placement, consolidating and finishing concrete. Must understand basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, etc. as well as concrete calculations for pours. Capable of submittal and shop drawing review process (Such as: rebar, tendons, stud-rails, concrete etc.) Verify that all required shop drawings, plans, mix designs, special material approvals, traffic control plans, and other documents necessary for assigned phases of work have been submitted and approved prior to start of the work. Properly code field delivery tickets and subcontractor invoices as required and turn into the Accounting Department promptly. Maintain and submit schedules; communicate updates and impacts to scheduling with the PM and Accounting Department on a daily basis. Manage subcontractors and field labor Schedule and order fill materials, pump trucks, and other crews Identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions. Oversee the work to ensure installation is in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents while maintaining quality control for work performed by employees and subcontractors. (QA/QC compliance). Complete and submit all documentation related to the project to theAccounting Department:
worksheets, change orders, customer approvals, etc.)Required Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 years' experience professional experience or equivalent within the construction and concrete industry experience preferred. (Others still encouraged to apply.) Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Abode a plus. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule. Solid written and oral communication skills. Bi-Lingual, English & Spanish, is a plus Must be competent at performing complete and accurate project take offs. Proficiency with industry practices, processes, and standards. Knowledge and acceptance of OSHA requirements and other legal restrictions. Provide a safe job site condition for traveling public and pedestrians. Complete dedication to customer satisfaction is a must.Requirements:
