Job Description

SIVORA Concrete Pumping is seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Pump Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for a high-energy individual who enjoys technical, hands-on work and variety in their daily routine. You will be responsible for transporting, operating, and maintaining advanced pumping equipment to ensure precise concrete delivery on diverse construction job sites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safe Operation:
Drive the pump truck to and from job sites in a conscientious manner, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Equipment Setup:
Evaluate job site conditions and safely position the pump and boom for optimal concrete placement.
Concrete Delivery:
Operate the pump and boom via remote control or manual overrides to discharge concrete according to the contractor's requirements.
Maintenance:
Perform light mechanical repairs and routine maintenance. Monitor the machine's performance to identify and report potential issues early.
System Clean-out:
Thoroughly clean the pump and pipe systems after each job to ensure the equipment is ready for immediate redeployment.
Customer Relations:
Act as a professional representative of SIVORA , communicating effectively with site supervisors and contractors to solve problems under pressure.
Documentation:
Complete daily logs, pump inspection forms, job tickets, and maintenance records accurately. Specific Technical Responsibilities (38m Boom)
Precision Placement:
Expertise in maneuvering a 4-section (or 5-section) Z-fold or Roll-and-Fold boom in tight residential or commercial spaces with a vertical reach of approximately 124 feet (38m) .
Stability Management:
Conduct thorough soil and site assessments to ensure proper outrigger deployment and stability for a machine of this footprint.
High-Volume Delivery:
Manage consistent flow rates for large-scale pours (slabs, decks, and footings) typical for this machine class.
Overhead Clearance Mastery:
Maintain hyper-awareness of power lines and structural obstructions, as the 38m class often operates in "gray areas" between light and heavy construction.
Revised Physical & Equipment Demands Heavy Component Handling:
Ability to lift and carry 5-inch heavy-duty concrete hoses and steel pipe sections (up to 75 lbs) required for system extensions.
Radio Remote Proficiency:
Mastery of proportional radio remote controls to ensure smooth, surge-free concrete delivery.
Rigorous Clean-out:
Ensure the hopper, 38m pipeline, and water system are completely purged and lubricated daily to prevent blockages in the longer boom run.
Qualification Requirements Licensing:
A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required (Class B minimum, Class A preferred).
Technical Aptitude:
Willingness to learn the mechanics of concrete pumps and a high level of manual dexterity.
Communication:
Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams on noisy construction sites.
Compliance:
Must be drug and alcohol-free and able to meet DOT requirements for hearing and vision. Characteristics of a
