Job Description
Only considering candidates of 1+ years of experience for this position. Job Overview We are seeking an experience and competent estimator to be a part of our team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and team player. This position will assist in preparing concrete bids and estimates by performing quantity take offs, with vendors & subcontracting pricing. Duties Estimate new concrete construction and concrete repair projects Start up, takeoff, review specifications of plansfor Concrete Division Provide accurate and detailed estimates to achieve profitable work from clients Complete takeoffs from plan, specifications and quantitative bids Contact customers for takeoff questions Attend weekly meetings to discuss bid schedule Develop and manage schedules in collaboration with Production & Estimating leadership Work closely with the vendors, suppliers and subcontractors teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals Ability to develop customers and maintain customer relationships Attend project meetings Communicate with General Contractors Support project management efforts by providing input on timelines, materials pricing, and contract negotiations as needed. Requirements Proven experience in concrete labor or related construction roles is preferred Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and ability to negotiate contracts effectively is desirable. Proficiency in using Bidscreen, Blue Beam & ISQFT software Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on construction sites.
