Job Description

Concrete Blaster / CoaterPosition Summary We are seeking a Concrete Blaster/Coater to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying specialized cementitious or protective coatings to products in accordance with quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial coating equipment, surface preparation processes, and material application techniques in a manufacturing or construction environment. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting. Essential Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for coating through blasting, cleaning, masking, and other preparation methods. Operate blasting and coating equipment safely and efficiently. Mix, apply, and finish cementitious, concrete-based, or protective coating materials according to specifications. Inspect coated products to ensure proper coverage, thickness, adhesion, and overall quality. Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary to meet quality standards. Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs. Maintain production records and quality documentation as required. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support production schedules by meeting established output and quality targets. Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED. Experience in industrial coating, concrete application, shotcrete, sandblasting, painting, powder coating, or related manufacturing/construction processes. Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures. Ability to use measuring devices and inspection tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment. Comfortable working around dust, noise, and industrial equipment while wearing required PPE. Preferred Experience with cementitious coatings, refractory materials, shotcrete, gunite, or concrete application. Experience operating blasting equipment. Manufacturing or industrial production experience. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to wear respirators, protective clothing, and other required safety equipment.
