Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trowel Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive experience working on construction sites. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality concrete work in diverse renovation, restoration, and new construction projects. Placement type Temporary to hire Hours Monday-Friday 7am-5pm Duties Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to achieve specified textures and finishes. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute concrete finishing tasks according to project requirements. Install rebar reinforcement and formwork prior to pouring concrete to ensure structural integrity. Operate power tools including concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, plastering, stucco application, and trim carpentry to prepare for finishing. Coordinate with team members on site to ensure timely completion of concrete pours and finishing activities. Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces to identify imperfections and perform necessary touch-ups or corrections. Assist with other construction activities such as masonry, framing, metal stud framing, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and heavy lifting as needed. Read and interpret construction plans and schematics accurately to align work with project specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper handling of hand tools and power tools. Requirements Must have 2-3 years of experience in trowel concrete finishing Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a strong understanding of concrete pouring and finishing techniques. Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading. Knowledge of rebar installation, form building, plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete pumping is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods on construction sites. Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to concrete work. Experience working on diverse construction projects including renovation or restoration is preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to operate heavy equipment may be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
