Concrete Laborer

Concrete Finisher - Job Description Summary A Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on a variety of construction projects. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Prepare worksites by setting forms, installing rebar or mesh reinforcement, and ensuring proper grading and elevation. Place and spread concrete using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to achieve required thickness and consistency. Finish concrete surfaces through floating, troweling, edging, grooving, brushing, or stamping to meet project specifications. Operate equipment such as power trowels, screeds, concrete saws, and mixers safely and effectively. Monitor curing process and apply curing compounds or coverings to prevent cracking and ensure proper strength development. Repair and restore damaged or aged concrete surfaces using patching materials, grinders, and resurfacing techniques. Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate layout and execution. Maintain tools and equipment , ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good working condition. Follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role Strong knowledge of concrete properties, finishing techniques, and curing methods Ability to use finishing tools and equipment Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions Ability to work independently or as part of a team Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Galesville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
