Heavy Equipment Operator for Concrete Road Construction Crew

Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and concrete pumps to prepare sites and pour concrete for roadways. Assist with rebar installation, ensuring reinforcement is correctly placed according to blueprints and schematics to maintain structural integrity. Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise operations aligned with project specifications. Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and power tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Support concrete forming, finishing, and pouring processes by coordinating with team members to achieve smooth surfaces and accurate elevations. Handle heavy lifting tasks involving materials like rebar, formwork components, and concrete mixers using appropriate safety procedures. Collaborate on site with carpenters, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow during renovation, restoration, or new construction projects. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or road-building environment is required. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction machinery and power tools. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions for precise execution of tasks. Hands-on experience with concrete mixing, pumping, finishing techniques, and formwork installation. Background in masonry, rebar installation, framing carpentry, or related trades is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety protocols at all times. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification is preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
