Full Job Description Job Title:
Pipe Foreman Position Summary:
The Pipe Foreman is responsible for all aspects of the project. This person will lead a crew, stay on grade, and keep production moving. This role is responsible for installing storm, water, and sewer pipe safely, correctly, and on schedule while holding the crew accountable for performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a pipe crew on active job sites Install storm, water, and sewer systems to plan and grade Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes Operate an excavator and assist with installation as needed Drive daily production and ensure work stays on schedule Enforce safety standards—no shortcuts, no exceptions Coordinate with superintendents and other crews on site Plan ahead for materials, equipment, and crew needs Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy before moving on Train and develop crew members
Qualifications:
Proven experience installing storm, water, and sewer pipe Prior foreman or crew lead experience preferred Strong understanding of trenching, excavation, and pipe installation Experience operating an excavator Ability to read plans and understand grade Strong leadership and communication skills Reliable, accountable, and production-driven
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Outdoor work in all weather conditions Physically demanding role including lifting, climbing, and working in trenches. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Must be able to frequently lift 20 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet project demands
