Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing General Foreman to lead and oversee plumbing operations on construction sites. This vital role involves managing plumbing installations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with teams to deliver high-quality work efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, and site management, driving projects forward with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate plumbing installation activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, blueprints, and schematics. Lead a team of plumbers and field workers, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure accurate installation. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively to complete tasks. Manage materials inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper use of construction and plumbing tools for efficiency. Conduct safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Perform heavy lifting tasks, remodeling work, maintenance duties, and troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site as required. Skills Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and schematics. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics related to plumbing and HVAC systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely. Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics. Mechanical knowledge applicable to plumbing systems, HVAC units, remodeling projects, and maintenance tasks. Experience with field service operations including troubleshooting plumbing issues on-site. Familiarity with carpentry skills for framing or remodeling tasks related to plumbing installations. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe fitting or layout planning. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment when necessary. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and project stakeholders.
