JOB DESCRIPTION
Harmon Electric is seeking a motivated Commercial Solar Foreman . As a Solar Foreman , you will be responsible for managing the
COMMERCIAL
interface throughout the solar installation process. Whether it be hands on involvement, or not, you will be expected to ensure the highest quality installation possible. The individual in this role will be enforcing safety requirements, reviewing construction and safety plans while setting up the job site, assigning installers their duties while monitoring progress, and reinforcing best practices. You also keep the crew on schedule, consistently checking the quality of the panels they install, and test the commercial solar system once it is completed. You then complete final inspections and help workers clean up the worksite. Throughout each job, you communicate with your customers, subcontractors, and your supervisor on a regular basis while providing excellent customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of solar installation experience and
- 1+ years of solar commercial foreman experience
- The ability to lead a team of 3-5 individuals
- Knowledge and understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards, as well as help the company improve upon the standards in place.
- Can provide a clean MVR, to drive company truck.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Understanding design, and implementation of Commercial Solar installations
- Daily, and weekly accountability/Production reports
- Material ordering, assigning tasks to crew members
- Field work including pipe bending, wire pulling, running conduit, installing fixtures, and installing solar electrical equipment
- Must be self-motivated
- Professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a multi-tasking team.
- Ability to give, and follow instructions
- Demonstrated concern for safety on every project, and adherence to all company policies while promoting them to others
- Other duties as assigned.
