We are seeking an experienced HDD Supervisor who can lead crews while remaining hands-on in the field. Position Summary The HDD Supervisor will oversee daily underground construction operations while actively performing drilling and locating when needed. This is not a desk position. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on HDD experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, productivity, and quality. Responsibilities Supervise HDD crews and daily field operations. Operate HDD drilling equipment when required. Perform locating duties and verify bore paths. Manage production, schedules, and jobsite activities. Ensure compliance with safety requirements and company policies. Coordinate with utility owners, inspectors, and project managers. Conduct daily jobsite planning and crew briefings. Maintain accurate production and safety reports. Troubleshoot field challenges and ensure projects stay on schedule. Requirements Minimum 5 years of HDD construction experience. Previous experience as both HDD Driller and Locator. Supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred. Ability to read utility maps, prints, and locate information. Experience installing fiber optic conduit and telecommunications infrastructure. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to travel as needed. Strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred Experience Ditch Witch and Vermeer drilling systems. Fiber optic construction projects. Utility coordination and damage prevention. CDL is a plus.
