Contract Description:

We are a Los Angeles-based GC specializing in full home remodels. We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Technical Foreman or Journeyman who can assist our crew with foundation, framing, and structural details , as well as review and verify plumbing and electrical work during remodel projects. This role is hands-on but also technical , focusing on ensuring construction meets design specifications, building codes, and inspection standards.

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret architectural and structural plans for foundations and framing Assist in planning and verifying foundation work (pads, footings, caissons, post-tension, etc.) Supervise and advise framing crew on bearing / non-bearing walls, stairs, and roof structures Review plumbing and electrical layout to ensure proper routing without compromising framing or structural integrity Solve technical issues on-site related to notches, bores, headers, and other structural modifications Ensure construction complies with California Residential Code (CRC) and local inspections Mentor crew members on technical best practices Collaborate with project manager and inspectors as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction with emphasis on framing and foundations Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural plans, and MEP layouts Knowledge of bearing vs non-bearing walls, stair framing, and complex remodel details Hands-on experience in foundation work (pads, footings, post-tension, piers) Familiarity with plumbing and electrical routing in remodel projects Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Valid driver's license

Preferred:

Union / apprenticeship background Experience in Los Angeles residential remodels and ADU projects Familiarity with waterproofing, curbless showers, and Simpson Strong-Tie connections

Compensation:

Competitive hourly or daily rate depending on experience Bonus opportunities for project completion and technical leadership
