Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced electrical Construction Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish in and around the Freemont, CA area. This vital role involves managing daily operations on-site, supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for quality control. As an electrical Construction Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects on time and within scope, fostering a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and support electrical crews to deliver high-quality work safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Plan daily work activities and assign manpower based on skill level and job priorities.
- Foster a strong safety culture by enforcing
OSHA, NEC, NFPA
70E, and company safety standards.- Serve as the job-site safety officer, ensuring safe working conditions and properly functioning equipment.
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
- Take ownership of workmanship, quality, and overall job-site productivity.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to maintain workflow and schedules.
- Monitor labor hours, productivity, and material usage to support project profitability. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available, organized, and returned when no longer needed.
- Complete daily reports, documentation, and timecards accurately and on time.
- Mentor and develop apprentices and crew members through hands-on leadership and guidance.
- Supervise crew members and ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Communicate job-site issues promptly to the Field Superintendent and/or Project Manager. Resolve field issues within your authority efficiently and effectively.
- Represent the company professionally with customers, general contractors, and inspectors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Superintendent or General Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of commercial electrical experience with a current and active California State Electrical Certification required - Journeyman certification required. Proven experience leading electrical crews on commercial projects. Minimum 2 years of supervising experience is preferred.- Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge and practical application of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Pay:
$55.00 - $70.00 per hourBenefits:
