Lead crews. Drive production. Install, troubleshoot, and commission integrated security and low-voltage systems across multiple active jobsites. This is not a clipboard-only superintendent role. We need a true technical field leader who has earned their way up through the trade and knows how to build clean, reliable, professional systems. You should understand the full installation process: access control, CCTV, intrusion, video intercoms, structured cabling, networking, panel wiring, device installation, troubleshooting, and system commissioning. You will be the field technical authority responsible for making sure every installation is clean, correct, safe, productive, and ready to turn over. What You'll Install & Lead Crews On Access control systems, including Brivo, PDK, Software House, and other commercial platforms Readers, controllers, power supplies, door contacts, REX devices, request-to-exit buttons, strikes, maglocks, electrified hardware, and door hardware coordination IP cameras and video surveillance systems, including Avigilon, Hanwha, and other enterprise VMS platforms Video intercom systems Intrusion and alarm systems Structured cabling, low-voltage pathways, conduit coordination, rack buildouts, labeling, terminations, and cable management Network infrastructure supporting security systems, including Ubiquiti, switches, PoE, VLANs, IP addressing, wireless bridges, NVRs, and device connectivity Full systems integration, making access control, video, intercom, intrusion, and networking work together in the real world What You'll OwnField Production You will be responsible for keeping jobs moving every day. Crew scheduling and daily production across multiple active jobsites Weekly manpower planning and crew allocation Jobsite readiness before crews arrive Material readiness and coordination with Project Managers and Project Coordinators Daily production targets and weekly schedule tracking Labor hour tracking against project estimates Identifying field conflicts, delays, missing materials, or scope issues before they become major problems Escalating risks quickly with a clear impact and recommended solution Technical Leadership You need to be strong enough technically to lead from the front.
You should be able to:
Wire access control panels cleanly and correctly Install and troubleshoot readers, locks, REX devices, door contacts, controllers, power supplies, and cameras Understand access control workflows, door schedules, device layouts, and wiring diagrams Troubleshoot camera, intercom, intrusion, and networking issues in the field Understand IP addressing, PoE, switch ports, VLAN basics, wireless bridges, and network connectivity Read plans, risers, device schedules, and project drawings Coach technicians on how to install faster, cleaner, and smarter Know what good work looks like before anyone else has to point it out You do not need to be the person turning tools all day, but you do need to know the work well enough to inspect it, correct it, teach it, and step in when needed. Quality Control We want clean installations and first-pass quality.
You will own:
First-pass inspection readiness Clean panel wiring, labeling, terminations, and device installation Pre-inspection walkthroughs before the inspector or client arrives Corrective work planning when something is not right Holding foremen, leads, technicians, and subcontractors accountable to Calidad standards Making sure every project is ready for commissioning, closeout, and turnover No sloppy panels. No mystery wires. No weak labeling. No unfinished details left for someone else. Safety You will lead safety in the field every day. Daily PPE checks Pre-task hazard awareness Jobsite safety walks Stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe Coordination with GCs and other trades to avoid hazards and conflicts Coaching crews on safe, professional field execution OSHA 30 is preferred. Crew Leadership We are looking for a leader who can earn respect in the field.
You will:
Lead foremen, lead techs, installers, apprentices, and subcontractors Set the weekly plan and make sure the team executes it Coach technicians from L1 to L2 to L3 Build stronger crews through training, accountability, and standards Address performance issues quickly and professionally Keep the team focused, productive, and organized Create a culture of pride, urgency, safety, quality, and ownership This role is for someone who can lead people, not just install systems. Coordination & Communication You will work directly with: Project Managers Project Coordinators Technical Project Management General Contractors Other trades Inspectors Clients when needed Ownership and senior leadership You will be expected to communicate clearly, professionally, and directly. You will also keep Monday.com updated with project status, manpower plans, issues, action items, schedule risks, and field updates. Every job. Every day. What We Need 5+ years as a superintendent, senior foreman, lead technician, or field leader in low-voltage, security, electrical, or construction Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV, video intercoms, intrusion, structured cabling, and network-based security systems Experience with platforms such as Brivo, PDK, Software House, Avigilon, Hanwha, Ubiquiti , or similar systems Ability to wire panels, install devices, troubleshoot field issues, read wiring diagrams, test systems, and understand controller programming/workflows Strong networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, PoE, switches, VLANs, NVRs, wireless bridges, and troubleshooting device connectivity Experience leading crews of 5-20+ techs across multiple active jobsites Strong understanding of jobsite production, scheduling, manpower planning, safety, and quality control Comfortable coordinating with GCs, PMs, inspectors, other trades, and internal teams Comfortable using Monday.com or similar project management systems Valid California driver's license Ability to travel between regional jobsites daily Bonus Qualifications Brivo certification PDK experience or certification Software House experience Avigilon experience Hanwha experience Ubiquiti/networking experience Strong IP networking background Prevailing wage/public works experience OSHA 30 Bilingual English/Spanish Experience training and developing low-voltage technicians Compensation $75,000
