Job Description
Castlerock Sitework Inc. is a well-established sitework, underground utilities, and paving contractor serving Ocala and the surrounding areas for over 30 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Utility Foreman to join our team and lead one of our underground utility crews. We are looking for a motivated, dependable leader with strong field experience in underground utility construction who can manage crews, operate equipment, maintain production, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Lead and supervise underground utility crews on daily operations Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes Shoot grades and ensure work is installed to specification and elevation Operate heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, loaders, dozers, and related equipment Coordinate daily activities with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and crew members Oversee installation of: Storm drainage systems Sanitary sewer systems Water mains Force mains Maintain productivity while ensuring quality workmanship Enforce company safety policies and OSHA/trench safety standards Track materials, equipment usage, and daily production Ensure crews maintain clean and organized job sites Troubleshoot field issues and keep projects moving efficiently Requirements Minimum 5+ years of underground utility construction experience Previous experience as a Foreman or Crew Leader preferred Strong knowledge of underground utility installation practices Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Experience shooting grades using laser and grade equipment Ability to operate heavy equipment proficiently Strong leadership and communication skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record Knowledge of trench safety and utility locating practices Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Preferred Qualifications CDL license is a plus Experience with GPS machine control systems is a plus OSHA certifications are a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady, year-round work Opportunity for growth with a respected local company Family-oriented work environment Established company with over 30 years in business Work Location Ocala, FL and surrounding areas Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Occasional overtime as needed About Castlerock Sitework Inc.
