Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, active, and locally licensed General Contractor (GC) for a project-based supervisory role for a new commercial Physical Therapy & Chiropractic center in the Hunter's Creek / Orlando (32837) area. This position is ideal for a semi-retired or independent GC who holds an active commercial license, understands local Orange County building codes, and is looking for a flexible, supervision-only contract. You will not be required to provide a full hands-on labor crew; instead, you will serve as the GC of Record , supervising our on-site team, ensuring work meets commercial compliance, and signing off on necessary permits and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
Permit & Code Compliance:
Review existing commercial architecture and physical therapy permit drawings to ensure total alignment with local codes.
Site Supervision:
Periodically oversee and guide the construction crew during key phases of the medical build-out (structural, electrical, plumbing, ADA compliance).
Sign-Offs:
Serve as the licensed professional of record to sign off on milestones and successfully pass municipal building inspections.
Quality Control:
Ensure specialized medical and physical therapy layout requirements (e.g., reinforced walls for equipment, specific electrical routing, and ADA-compliant spacing) are executed perfectly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
License:
Must hold an active, valid Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC) or Registered General Contractor license capable of pulling/signing commercial permits in Orange County.
Experience:
Proven track record with commercial tenant improvements (TI). Experience with medical, chiropractic, physical therapy, or salon/spa build-outs is a major plus.
Location:
Must be local to the Hunter's Creek / South Orlando area for easy site visits.
Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with ADA compliance and commercial building codes.

Hours:
Flexible. This is a part-time, supervisory role structured around key inspection milestones and weekly progress checks.
Pay:
$30.00 - $60.00 per hour
