This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality renovation, restoration, and custom fabrication projects across various construction sites. As a vital part of our workforce, you will bring craftsmanship, precision, and efficiency to every project, ensuring safety standards are met and client expectations are exceeded. This paid position is ideal for experienced carpenters and construction professionals eager to showcase their expertise in stair and handrail systems while working in a collaborative environment that values your skills and dedication. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install custom stairs, handrails, and related fixtures according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical instructions to ensure precise installation Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively to complete projects efficiently Perform repairs on existing staircases and handrails, including replacing damaged components or upgrading systems for safety and aesthetics Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of installation tasks Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to safety standards and design specifications Assist with site preparation activities such as framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, or other related tasks as needed Skills Extensive experience in carpentry with a focus on trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or heavy woodworking projects Proficiency in construction estimating to accurately assess project scope and materials needed Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders), and fabrication equipment Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces Experience with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installation tasks Knowledge of various building materials such as metal studs, wood framing, concrete forms, stucco, siding, drywall finishing, caulking techniques, and fixture installation Capable of working independently or as part of a team on remodeling projects involving flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work or plumbing as needed Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics or blueprints accurately for complex installations Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship in the construction industry!
