ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY EPP LLC

is launching an in-house roofing division in Fort Wayne, and we're hiring an experienced Working Roofing Supervisor to lead the crew while actively performing roofing work alongside the team every day. We service a scattered-site portfolio of single-family rental properties and some commercial buildings owned by our affiliated property management company across the Fort Wayne area. You and your crew will move from property to property tackling roof repairs, replacements, and capital improvements as they're scheduled. The work is portfolio-driven rather than bid-driven, which means a more consistent project pipeline. This is a boots-on-the-roof leadership position. This is not a desk-based management role. The Working Roofing Supervisor will be expected to work in the field daily alongside the crew — performing tear-offs, installations, repairs, and other roofing labor — while also leading and coordinating the team. Applicants seeking a strictly supervisory or office-based role will not be a fit for this position. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead, supervise, and work alongside a roofing crew across a scattered-site portfolio of properties throughout the Fort Wayne area.
• Perform roofing labor daily alongside the crew including tear-offs, installations, repairs, flashing, and finish work.
• Lead by example in the field while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Assist crew members with physically demanding roofing work as needed throughout the day.
• Serve as both crew leader and active working roofer on every job site.
• Plan and prioritize daily routes and work assignments in coordination with property managers.
• Manage all phases of roof installation: tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and finish.
• Oversee scope on a wide variety of roof types — single-family homes, duplexes, and small commercial buildings.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate roofing crew members.
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks at each property.
• Coordinate material ordering, equipment transport, and job-to-job logistics.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards including fall protection and PPE compliance at every job site.
• Communicate daily with property managers and EPP leadership on project status.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• 7+ years of hands-on residential roofing experience.
• 3+ years in a supervisor, foreman, or crew lead role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Indiana building codes.
• Proven ability to lead crews of 3-10 workers.
• Must be willing and physically able to perform hands-on roofing work daily alongside the crew. This is a working supervisor role requiring active participation in roofing labor, not solely job-site oversight.
• Experience managing crews across multiple job sites in a single day or week.
• Valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and route-planning skills.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with manufacturer warranties and certifications (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning).
• Experience with both residential and small commercial properties.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience launching or building out a new business line.
