Job Type:
Full-Time Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience, qualifications, and industry expertise. Edwards Moving & Rigging is seeking an experienced Foreman/Superintendent to lead crews and manage specialized heavy rigging, transportation, lifting, and project execution activities throughout the United States. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated professional with a strong background in heavy rigging, crane operations, specialized transportation, construction, or related industries. Extensive travel is required, and candidates must be willing to work at project sites across the country. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise field crews on heavy rigging, lifting, transportation, and specialized project work.
  • Plan, organize, and execute daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Develop and implement detailed project scopes, work plans, and schedules.
  • Coordinate mobilization of crews, equipment, and resources with customers, dispatch, and company operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the field crew, customer representatives, and company management.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations and monitor progress to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Identify equipment needs and coordinate delivery and utilization of resources.
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and ensure adherence to all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Enforce work standards, operating procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Mentor and develop crew members while promoting a positive team environment.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and communication records.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
  • Coordinate rigging activities with other contractors, trades, and site personnel as required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy rigging, crane operations, specialized transportation, construction, heavy hauling, or related industries.
  • Previous Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent leadership experience required.
  • Experience with Goldhofer or similar hydraulic platform trailers preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with gantry systems, unified jacking systems, strand jacks, jack-and-slide systems, and other specialized lifting equipment is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.
  • Proven ability to work professionally with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Must speak and read fluent English to successfully complete site-specific safety training and access safety-sensitive facilities, including industrial and nuclear sites.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean criminal background history, subject to customer site requirements.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment, random, and customer-required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Regular work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours as project demands require.
