Job Description

Position Overview Northeast Classic Builders is hiring a high-level Working Foreman to lead from the front. This is not a babysitting role—we're looking for a skilled carpenter who produces, solves problems, and drives the job forward without constant oversight. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process—from ground breaking through final completion—while setting the standard for pace, quality, and accountability on every project.

Key Responsibilities Lead and work alongside the crews or subcontractors daily with a strong focus on sitework, framing, layout, and structural carpentry. Oversee and execute all phases of construction from site start (clearing, layout, and prep) through final completion. Read and execute site plans and construction drawings without hand-holding. Create and execute punch lists and tasks Take full ownership of day-to-day job site progress, production, and quality. Keep projects moving—anticipate problems, solve them quickly, and maintain momentum. Coordinate materials, workflow, and subcontractors in the field. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. Hold crew members accountable to performance and workmanship standards. Communicate clearly and directly with management—no surprises. Qualifications Proven high-level carpenter with strong framing and layout skills. Ability to read and interpret site plans and build from ground breaking through final completion. Deep understanding of the full residential construction process. Experience leading crews and running jobs effectively. Must have own carpentry tools and be fully equipped to work at a professional level. Strong work ethic—shows up, produces, and sets the pace for others. Problem-solver with attention to detail and pride in the finished product. Computer skills and cell phone Who This Is NOT For Anyone who needs constant direction or supervision. Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
