We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, professionalism, and creating landscapes that stand the test of time. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Lead to help oversee and execute landscape construction projects. Position Overview The Construction Lead is responsible for managing daily field operations on landscape construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This individual will lead a crew, coordinate project activities, and serve as the primary on-site representative of Jean Brooks Landscapes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on residential projects Interpret and execute landscape plans, layouts, and specifications Coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule Install patios, walkways, retaining walls, planting beds, drainage systems, and other landscape features Operate and oversee the safe use of equipment and machinery Train and mentor crew members on construction techniques and company standards Communicate project progress, material needs, and site conditions with management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations Assist with project planning, logistics, and material management Qualifications 5+ years of landscape construction experience 2+ years of crew leadership or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of hardscape installation, grading, drainage, and planting techniques Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, and other landscape equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-end residential landscape projects ICPI, NCMA, or other hardscape certifications Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape lighting Experience managing multiple projects and crews OSHA certification or commitment to workplace safety training Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $30-$35 per hour, based on experience Performance bonuses Paid holidays and PTO Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (based on experience) Professional development and certification opportunities Clear path for advancement into Project Manager or Operations roles Why Join Jean Brooks Landscapes?
