Description of role:
Our Company's Sitework Division is looking for an experienced Site Work Foreman to join our team. We are known for our quality and attention to detail so the ideal candidate will take a lot of pride in their work. Must be able to manage a crew to achieve production numbers and work efficiently. Coming to work with a positive attitude and a willingness to work with other employees as a team is crucial. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years experience as a foreman who has run all aspects of a site work job-site. This includes, but is not limited to: site layout and management, running a site work crew, communicating with Project Managers and subcontractors, and showing an expertise in site work means and methods. This position will require the candidate to be willing and able to operate equipment on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity for long term employment. We offer competitive pay and benefits. Tasks:
Site layout & crew management Coordination with Project Supervisor, Project Manager, and Client's representative Site demo and prep Excavate accurately for footings and foundations Install utilities including: water lines, drainage lines and structures, sewer lines and structures, site electric trenching, underground plumbing, etc. Rough grade and fine grade site including walks, parking lots, green areas, etc. Run telescopic forklift as needed At least 10 years experience running/ managing a commercial site work job At least 15 years' experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, dozers and telescopic forklifts Must have MA Hoisting License Class 2A/1C Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment Extensive knowledge of layout Knowledge of/ experience in laying out with Total Stations and GPS strongly preferred Ability to execute elevations and layout per plans and specs Extensive knowledge of drainage and utilities, earthwork, site prep, rough and finish grading, excavation for footings and foundations, and more Driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites Complete work to a quality level above industry standard understanding that every detail matters Follow directions Ability to problem solve Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time Capable of carrying at least 80 lbs. Must have a minimum of an OSHA 10 but OSHA 30 strongly preferred Class A or B driver's license a plus but not required Mechanic experience/ability a plus but not required Desire for a long term career Willingness to submit to a background check and drug test If you do not meet these requirements, please do not apply Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
