Job Description

NIST is seeking a Utility Systems Repairer Operator to operate, troubleshoot, and repair multiple large-scale, industrial utility systems simultaneously to maximize efficiency and prevent operational downtime.
Qualifications:
There is no specific length or level of experience requirements. The applicant's overall background of experience, education and training must clearly demonstrate the ability to perform the duties, as described in this announcement, screen out element(i.e. without more than normal supervision). Applicants must meet the screen out elements and achieve an overall score of at least fifty (50%) or higher Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
