These are hands-on, field-based positions that work directly on active landscape construction projects throughout the Metro Detroit area. Team members will be onsite each day, building and transforming outdoor spaces through landscape installation, hardscape construction, planting, grading, and other outdoor improvement projects. Whether you are an experienced Foreman ready to lead a crew or an Assistant looking to grow your skills in the landscape construction industry, we offer opportunities for professional development, advancement, and hands-on training in the field. Responsibilities Foremen Lead and supervise daily landscape construction activities, including planting, grading, paving, retaining walls, patios, walkways, and other hardscape installations Direct and motivate crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards Coordinate materials, equipment, and job site logistics Conduct quality inspections and ensure work aligns with project specifications Enforce all safety procedures and maintain a productive work environment Communicate effectively with managers, clients, and team members Construction Assistants Assist Foremen and crew members with landscape and hardscape installation projects Operate hand tools and assist with equipment operation as trained Perform site preparation, material handling, planting, grading, and cleanup activities Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times Support the crew in completing projects efficiently and professionally Learn industry best practices through hands-on field experience Qualifications Experience in landscape construction, landscaping, horticulture, gardening, or related outdoor trades preferred Knowledge of landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, planting, and hardscape construction is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a team Leadership experience preferred for Foreman candidates Valid driver's license with chauffers preferred Why Join Organic Matters?
