Job Description

New Life Construction is a growing full-service residential remodeling company serving Northern Minnesota.
We specialize in:
Bathroom Remodels Kitchen Remodels Window & Door Replacement Roofing Siding Soffit & Fascia Structural Repairs Small Additions General Residential Remodeling Our mission is simple: "A New Look for a New Beginning." We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Remodeler / Foreman who can lead projects, develop employees, maintain company standards, and actively work alongside the crew in the field.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Lead Remodeler / Foreman is expected to actively perform remodeling work while simultaneously leading projects, training employees, maintaining company standards, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and professionally. This is not a specialty trade position. The ideal candidate has a broad residential remodeling background and is capable of performing and teaching multiple aspects of residential construction while taking ownership of daily field operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Development Lead field employees and subcontractors. Train and mentor less experienced employees. Hold employees accountable to company standards. Promote a positive and productive work environment. Lead by example in workmanship, professionalism, organization, and work ethic. Project Coordination Manage daily jobsite activities. Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment. Plan work efficiently and proactively. Maintain project schedules. Communicate project needs and concerns to management. Identify and solve problems before they become larger issues. Production & Craftsmanship Actively perform remodeling work alongside crew members. Demonstrate proper construction methods and techniques. Maintain high-quality workmanship standards. Assist employees with technical construction challenges. Ensure projects are completed according to scope and company standards. Organization & Accountability Maintain organized company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment. Protect company assets and equipment. Complete job closeout procedures. Complete material returns. Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites. Follow company systems and procedures consistently. Communication & Documentation Provide daily project updates. Maintain CompanyCam documentation. Submit receipts and purchase documentation promptly. Report change orders, delays, and jobsite concerns. Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, employees, and subcontractors. Maintain project documentation and job notes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required 5+ years residential construction experience. Broad residential remodeling experience. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 75+ pounds. Ability to work on ladders, roofs, scaffolding, and uneven terrain. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to read plans, scopes of work, and measurements. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Previous Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or leadership experience. Bathroom remodeling experience. Kitchen remodeling experience. Framing and structural repair experience. Window and door installation experience. Roofing and siding experience. Finish carpentry experience. Experience training employees. Technology & Administrative Skills Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for daily work activities. Experience with construction management and project management software preferred. Familiarity with platforms such as CompanyCam, JobTread, Buildertrend, QuickBooks Time, Workforce, or similar systems is preferred. Ability to submit photos, receipts, project updates, and documentation electronically.
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Must accept coaching and constructive feedback professionally. Must demonstrate strong organization and follow-through. Must communicate effectively with employees, customers, office staff, and subcontractors. Must be accountable to company systems and procedures. Must take ownership of problems and help drive solutions. Must be capable of leading by example while actively working alongside the crew. Must complete responsibilities without repeated reminders or follow-up.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience. Monthly Leadership Bonus Program. Expected 45-hour work week. Paid Holidays. Paid Time Off (PTO).
