Construction Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to oversee our underground utility projects, including waterlines, electrical lines, septic systems, sewer systems, drainage solutions, and excavation services. The Foreman will be responsible for managing project crews, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting project timelines and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a crew of laborers and skilled workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems. Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily operations and assignments to maximize productivity and project efficiency. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety on the job site. Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or delays proactively with the project manager. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment used on each project. Conduct regular inspections of job sites and equipment to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications. Train and mentor team members, fostering their development and adherence to best practices. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met. Identify and resolve any on-site problems, and effectively communicate solutions to management. Prepare reports on project status, including updates on timelines, labor, and material usage.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction management or utility work are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground utility work or a related field. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and utility installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documentation. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment safely. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as needed.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour
