Full Job Description Job Description:
Civil construction foreman The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with the ability to manage a crew, operate heavy equipment, and oversee the successful execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Crew Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of 4-5 crewmembers.
  • Ensure that all crew members adhere to safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Provide on-site training and mentorship to crew members.

Heavy Equipment Operation :
  • Operate a variety of heavy machinery including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety.

Project Execution:
  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Oversee the layout and setup of construction sites.
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Enter and track quantities completed on a daily report to ensure accurate production tracking and communication with project management.

Site Layout and Planning:
  • Conduct site surveys and layout tasks to ensure accurate construction.
  • Utilize knowledge in civil construction to plan and execute project phases efficiently.

Quality Control:
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary to address any deficiencies.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all crew members use appropriate protective gear and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the heavy construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing a crew of construction workers.
  • Proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in civil construction, including site layout and surveying.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred.
Pay:
$1,500.00 - $1,850.00 per week
