Immediately Job Description Supervisor, Plumbing Qualifications Current master plumber license issued by the City of Jackson Minimum of high school education Valid Mississippi motor vehicle operator's license Five years experience in the maintenance and installation of gas-fired equipment, water distribution, and drainage systems Knowledge and experience in the design, maintenance, and repair of all types of plumbing systems Must be insurable by district insurance carrier Applicant must submit to and pass drug screening test as outlined by district policy Reports To Executive Director of Facilities & Operation
SUPERVISES
All personnel assigned to the plumbing department (may be assigned other supervisory duties as needed
JOB GOAL
To insure that all facilities meet the highest standards of plumbing service, that ensure health, safety, and efficiency in operation for the students and personnel that those facilities serve. Essential Functions Assigns, coordinates, and checks all work of the plumbing department Provides adequate leadership, instruction, and on-the-job training to all personnel under his/her supervision Assigns personnel their daily job duties, maintains timesheets, prepares payroll records, and prepares monthly reports of work completed Assumes responsibility for proper use of all maintenance vehicles and equipment assigned to the plumbing department Is subject to call during off duty hours and must check with immediate supervisor prior to leaving the district for one (1) day or more or during holidays Interviews job applicants Monitors all departmental purchases of tools and equipment Maintains a current inventory of all tools and equipment assigned to the plumbing department Prepares an adequate budget projection schedule for each forthcoming year Schedules necessary staff development activities for personnel Maintains adequate record of work performed Evaluates the job performance of all employees in the plumbing department Performs other related duties as requested or assigned Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
